Developmental projects in terras do sem-fim: expansion of agribusiness and precarization of labor in the semiarid of Bahia state (Brazil)

The agricultural modernization occurred in Brazil since the 1970s triggered significant changes in the field, which are accentuated due to the restructuring of productive capital. After about 40 years, old problems persist, revealing the contradictions of agrarian model/agriculture adopted by the State to support the project of modernization of the country. New territories are included in the reproductive circuit of capital, with the unfolding processes of dispossession, expropriation, misery and precariousness of work stations as inevitable on the path towards progress and modernity. Reflecting on the results of this phenomenon is necessary because, through its analysis, it is possible to identify the source of serious problems experienced in the field and in the city, as in the case of Brazil, it is not possible to separate the fields of the city. For the realization of this investigation it was necessary the use of theoretical references, with the intention to establish a relation between theory and practice. The research founds in the qualitative characterization of the scientific problem, with a use of different research´s methods such as interviews, diaries of fieldwork, photographical register and oral´s tales.
