Abstract
La Société qui vient [The Society to Come], a book organised by Didier Fassin, Professor of Public Health at the Collège de France, is an extensive collaborative work of an interdisciplinary nature, featuring no less than 64 chapters written by experts from various areas of the human sciences. This book addresses critical and fundamental issues in contemporary society, categorised into seven thematic sections, including challenges, policies, inequalities and the question of recognition and new forms of exploitation. The overall aim of the book is to diagnose the conditions of our present time, with the predictive ambition of pointing out future trends, thus offering a broad prognosis of the “society to come”.
