Sources of information about violence against women in Brazil

Abstract:

It aims to identify, select and categorize the main sources of information about violence against women in Brazil. It is a qualitative and quantitative bibliographic and documentary research, with content analysis of 204 documents published between 2000 and 2023. The results indicate that 53% of the sources are official records; 14% are opinion and perception surveys; 10% are victimization surveys; 8% are about the network of services for women; and 15% fall into more than one category.
