Neoliberalism in Latin America: 40 years of impacts on the working class

Abstract:

Over the past four decades, neoliberalism has intensified the overexploitation and precariousness of the working and living conditions of the working classes worldwide. In this study, we analyze its impacts on Latin American countries based on three axes: the “social issue”, the world of work, and social policies. Through documentary and bibliographic research, we highlight the transformations in state intervention and social policies in the region, especially the minimalism and the increasing assistance they experience.
