Abstract:
The article aims to problematize the analysis of human aging as a natural “data” and to present a methodological perspective of treatment of the phenomenon in the critical perspective, as well as its demands for care in a society that lives the crisis of care by the increase of the demand and reduced supply in the family and public policies, which is aggravated by neoliberal reforms. The family/state relationship is debated and unveiled the directions of the centrality of the family in contemporary Brazilian social policy.
