Abstract:
Based on the analysis of conjunctural elements that explain the inflections of the ongoing Capital crisis in social life, this Editorial problematizes the “place” that social participation, in its different forms, occupies in the (re)construction of the public sphere. In dialogue with authors who examine the situation and themes such as participation, associations, social control, rights and democracy, the article lists a few of challenges posed not only to social workers, but to everyone who positions themselves on the horizon of emancipation: political and human.
