Reverse development and the socio environmental degradation by a mining company

Abstract

This article is about the relationship between the unsustainability of the pattern of development allowed to a multinational mining company in Brazil, and its association with the neoliberal ideology, which results in the aggression to socio environmental rights. Such and aggression can be seen in relation to 70,54% of its local workers, with impacts on their own health, on the population they belong to, and on the environment. This reality is hidden by the alienated public environmental management.
