A descriptive study aimed to supply subsidies for the reflection of a group of nursing professionals dispensed to a dead body, based on a dynamic carried out in a general hospital. The dynamic in question, first presented in the classroom during a course that makes up the undergraduate curriculum of Alfredo Pinto Nursing School in the Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro, was taken to the hospital in question, in view of the creativeness of the pupils involved in it. The conclusion was that uniting the art of stage with the many sciences that work with giving care, makes it possible to approach, aesthetically and with beauty, a procedure that is as arduous as it is delicate and subtle and that also is part of the nursing staff’s everyday practice of caregiving.
