This research aims to describe the perspective of professionals inside Psychosocial Attention Centers in RS about psychosocial rehabilitation. Eleven semi-structured interviews were performed with professionals at a university level linked to 6 CAPS from the south region of RS. The results show that psychosocial rehabilitation is seen as a process; the importance of family, participation; interdisciplinarity; the aims of the service; an integrality of actions and the quality of the service; and professional values such as responsibility, ethics, flexibility, dignity, respect for the human being. We concluded that psychosocial rehabilitation is a process in permanent construction-overcoming new and always multiple possibilities of care, as well as the existence of a lack between the new theoretical referential, still incipient, and a multiplicity of actions/practices in course, which overcome the production of a Brazilian referential of rehabilitation.
