Music has been used increasingly in care for children with autism spectrum disorder. This study aimed to report on the application of the music experience as care technology for these children at a Child - Juvenile Psychosocial Care Center. This is an intervention project based on the idea of action-reflection-action through the stages of diagnosis of reality, theory and application in reality. The musical intervention facilitated and mentored new play, sensory, motor experiences, language and interaction of children with autism spectrum disorder, and involved the triad of impairments - interaction, communication and behavior - in a playful and musical form. It is important that professionals deepen and develop knowledge on methods and strategies for the use of music therapy in mental health in order to extend its use in the care for these children and assess the effects of this intervention.
