Exploratory study whose objective was to analyze the necessity of permanent education of mental health care services nursing team. The subjects studied were thirty-seven mental health-nursing professionals. As results, we observed that the team of nursing the mental health requires qualification the spectre ample. It is concluded that the permanent education of the mental health nursing team demands beyond established educational programs in definition of specific abilities, critical educative processes that aim at the development of the interdisciplinar character of knowledge.
