ABSTRACT
In this work, a solution for the radiative transfer equation in one-dimensional homogeneous medium is derived, seeking to evaluate properties such as reflectance and transmittance of the medium, which may, for example, be associated with the characterization of a vegetation. Numerical results obtained with the analytical discrete ordinates (ADO) method for different formulations of the boundary conditions of the problem are discussed and compared to other studies available in the literature. Analysis of the results shows that the ADO formulation is accurate and computationally efficient.
