Simulações numéricas de um modelo de transmissão de dengue em microrregiões do sudoeste da Bahia (Brasil)

Considering a system of differential equations involving populations of two interacting species, we study a continuous SIR model of dengue transmission. We describe the behavior of susceptible humans, infected humans and infected mosquitoes at the asymptotic limit of the model. We perform numerical simulations with parameters adjusted to the micro-region of southwestern Bahia between the years 2008 and 2012, comparing with actual data. We discuss the equilibrium points of the model in the context of the studied micro-region.
