A semântica como negociação dos significados em Libras

The objective of this paper is to problematize questions related to the work of the teacher/researcher as a pedagogical and political practice. Our intention is to situate, withim that practice, a semantic view of the writing of deaf students in Portuguese. Considering that "language use is a space for the construction of meaning resources", this paper addresses some of the reflections on sign language and on semantics as meaning negotiation in Libras. In order to carry out this study, we focus on the syntactic-semantic relation of verbs in Brazilian Sign Language, which we analyze taking into account its properties, representations and meanings. In this way, we found out that "the study of semantic representations of verbs in Libras" may demonstrate that the writing of deafs in Portuguese reveals the interference of the ways meaning is negotiated in the sign language. Such difference is illustrated by the examples presented in this work.
