Bilingual dictionaries and foreign language learning have been always deeply related. This paper aims to put in evidence how the role of bilingual dictionary has been changed by influence from foreign language learning development. Such influence seems to stimulate recent efforts of bilingual lexicography in order to meet the needs of foreign language learners.
