O conceito de vontade na filosofia política de Rousseau e Condorcet

Abstract:

This paper analyzes the concept of will in the political philosophy of Rousseau and seeks to reinterpret it in the light of the philosophy of Condorcet. It is argued that Condorcet makes Rousseau's concept of general will less ambiguous by adopting three criteria, namely: the development of a rigorous method for identifying the collective will, the defense of public instruction, and the option for a democratic republicanism.
