Memory and creation in Bergson: on the phenomenon of attention and the planes of consciousness

Abstract:

Starting from the distinction between the two forms of memory, our intention is to show the creative aspect of memory in Bergson. To do so, we will investigate some examples from the second and third chapters of Bergson's second book, Matter and Memory.
