Open-access The modern technique and the return of the Sacred

The return to the Sacred points to a problem beyound the sociological horizon, if thought in a fundamental way. If so, why not reading one of the classical works concerning this topic, the theologist Rudolf Otto ? Why not trying to decipher the late texts from Heidegger and its frequent allusions to the sacred as a clue to the renegated gods? It is curious that the cognitive programme of modern sciences guide us to some results which seems to confront a strange, paradoxal and antinomical world, with its inovating contribution to this change. These features were presented by Otto. And what does it have to do with technique, modern society and sociology ? This is the topic of the textThe modern Society and the return to the Sacred .
