This paper focuses on the interprofessional and intraprofessional competition among judges, prosecutors, lawyers, police chiefs and judicial registry personnel. It is based in a qualitative case study of a judicial district in the state of São Paulo. The paper emphasizes the importance of plancing the focus of the study on interdependencies of Brazilian legal professions to understand the dynamics of the judicial world.
