Abstract:
Some factors interfere in the teaching performance related to sex issues, but studies in the context of Post Graduate Programs in Tourism (PPGTurs) are still a gap. The purpose of this article is to understand how the female insertion of tourism professors happens within the scope of the National Association for Research and Graduate Studies in Tourism (Anptur - Brazil). The research is quantitative, based on secondary data and statistical analysis using the SPSS software. The results indicate a balance between the number of professors of both sexes working in post graduate programs in tourism. The coordination and vice-coordination positions of the PPGTurs have a male majority (60%) and management positions at Anptur (62%). There are differences in the average number of women, which is lower than that of men in all indexes on the Google Scholar platform. About the authorship of works published in Anptur's annals between 2005 and 2019, there is a majority of female authors (60%). Regarding the awards, there is a balanced number of prizes awarded to both sexes. The study contributes by presenting an excerpt on the teaching performance in post graduate programs in tourism, contributing to understanding the representativeness and female influence in the area.
