Abstract
Knowing the vulnerabilities of a city is fundamental for the State’s actions of social protection. In the city of Vitória-ES, the neighborhoods can be very different in a short distance, so in this study we seek to analyze the profile of the population at social risk, through vulnerability maps identified in the Cadastro Único, grouped by neighborhood. We processed the CadÚnico de Vitória database between 2017 and 2019. We continued to extract and cross-reference this data with cartographic information to identify priority situations for social assistance. We assessed 11 vulnerabilities: Extreme Poverty, Poverty, Precarious Housing, Participation in other Social Assistance programs, Elderly, People with Disabilities, Illiterate, Low Education, Unemployment, Precarious Occupational Situation and Persistent Unemployment. Finally, via GoogleMaps we generate maps that present an intensity rating of each vulnerability by transparency and color overlaid on a layer of polygons delimiting the neighborhoods. The results show that each neighborhood has a different pattern of vulnerabilities, and their mapping indicates unique characteristics that can help municipal management in a more specific planning.
