This article presents and discusses the route of the pseudoarchitecture painting in Florence (Firenze) since the decade of 1630 until the end of that century, characterized by the quadrature. It's intending to prove the artistic and theoretical universe of the Florentine Vincenzo Bacherelli (1672-1745). This quadraturist became the responsible for the transformation of the roof painting in Portugal during the first twenty years of the XVIII century, influencing and creating a range of followers.
