The Unisinos Journal of Philosophy is a publication of the University of Vale do Rio dos Sinos, with a continuous periodicity of three issues per year, and its main objective is to publish original articles by Brazilian and foreign researchers. The Unisinos Journal of Philosophy is a publication of the University of Vale do Rio dos Sinos, with a continuous periodicity of three issues per year, and its main objective is to publish original articles by Brazilian and foreign researchers. Texts can be written in Portuguese, English or Spanish. Qualis/Capes A2. Articles must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration for publication anywhere else and can be written in Portuguese, English or Spanish. The journal also reprints papers that are considered fundamental to the area when authorized written permission is given by the original publisher. Mission Publish original research that can help qualify the national and international philosophical debate. Open Access Policy This journal offers immediate free access to its content, following the principle that making scientific knowledge freely available to the public provides greater global democratization of knowledge. |
Form and preparation of manuscripts

The journal accepts submissions on a rolling basis. Unisinos Journal of Philosophy (UJP) has no article processing charges or article submission charges. Articles must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration for publication anywhere else and can be written in Portuguese, English or Spanish. The journal prints articles and critical book reviews. It also reprints papers that are considered fundamental to the area when authorized written permission is given by the original publisher. The submissions must be sent electronically in Microsoft Word or RTF format, following the steps of a system that aims to give assistance in each phase of the editorial process. The publication is subjected to the previous approval of the journal's Editorial Board, as well as to peer review made by, at least, two ad hoc reviewers using the double-blind review process. The identification of authorship of the work must be removed from the file, ensuring UJP’s confidentiality criteria. Important

Quotations (a) Short quotations (containing less than three lines) must be incorporated into the text in quotation marks. Conflict of interest
|
Public reliability in the peer revision process and the credibility of published articles depend partly on how conflicts of interests are managed during writing, peer revision, and decision-making by the editors. Conflicts of interests may arise when authors, reviewers, or editors have interests, visible or not, that may affect manuscript elaboration or evaluation. The conflict of interests may be personal, commercial, political, academic, or financial. When authors submit a manuscript, they are responsible for recognizing and revealing financial or other conflicts that may have influenced their work. The authors must indicate in the manuscript all financial support given to the work or other financial or personal connections in relation to the research. The reviewer must report to the editors any conflict of interests that may affect their opinion on the manuscript and, when applicable, must declare him/herself non-qualified to review it. |
