Changing the official language of the Anais Brasileiros de Dermatologia -ABD (Brazilian Annals of Dermatology)

First of all, I would like to thank you for your respect, recognition of our work and concern for the ABD.
As for the concerns raised, we would like to point out that since the beginning of June 2011, the full version of the journal in Portuguese has been available at the website of the ABD (www.anaisdedermatologia.org.br) in PDF file, which can be downloaded and printed easily by all associate members.
Moreover, we now have the e-book version of the journal, which may be read on a computer, a cell phone or even a tablet. Therefore, after the journal has been "downloaded", it won't be necessary to be connected to the Internet to be able to read it. This version is exactly like the printed and online versions.
Another great advantage is that associate members will have full access to the ABD online at most six hours after the journal has been sent to print. It takes longer for associate members to receive the print journal because printing and mailing take several days.
Therefore, we can say that because of these new tools that facilitate the reading of the journal, those colleagues who have not mastered the English language will have guaranteed access to the journal - with the great advantage of having it first.
Professor Azulay and fellow colleagues can be sure that the ABD team - including the associate editors and editorial assistants in the Department of Communication, with the support of the Board of Directors of the Brazilian Society of Dermatology makes every effort and doesn't waste any time, so precious and short for all of us today, for our associate members to have a journal of which they can be proud when acquiring and exchanging scientific knowledge.
Finally, let's toast to the increase of the impact factor of the ABD - from B3 to B2 recently published in the Journal Citation Reports (JCR), responsible for the disclosure of the impact factor. And we hope that it will increase even more in the coming years. Without any doubt, this is the result of the joint effort of all dermatologists who love and contribute to the ABD.
