We have improved, but we still have a lot to accomplish

In the 85 years of existence of the 'Anais Brasileiros de Dermatologia' (ABD), we have had a lot to celebrate. The new sections created in 2010 – Images in Tropical Dermatology and Images in Dermatology – were well received by members, and authors have been contributing with their relevant manuscripts. Despite the well-known problems with the post office in all the Brazilian territory, we were able to promptly deliver the March-April issue of the Journal to our members.

There is still a lot for us to accomplish, especially greater recognition and impact in the area of Dermatology. This can be typically achieved when our Journal is cited in bibliographical references of national and foreign publications. Moreover, image files need to be submitted with higher resolution and definition for better quality material. We need and request the support of authors and collaborators to achieve both goals.

In reality, it is with the support from our colleagues that we intend to continue to work with the level of enthusiasm we have always shown. We hope that the Brazilian Dermatology becomes proud of the ABD.

We eagerly seek to produce a high level, valued, and relevant Journal, which contributes to the formation and knowledge updating of Brazilian Dermatologists.
