Treatment of congenital nasolacrimal duct obstruction

SUMMARY

A series of 48 children with congenital nasolacrimal system obstruction were treated with local hidrostatic massage of Crigler.

The obstruction was resolved in 42 (87,5%) patients. The six patients who didn't respond to the massage were cured with one probing of the nasolacrimal system.
