SUMMARY
We describe a 68-year-old patient with a large in traconal orbital tumor that presented with proptosis and posterior globe ectasia. The tumor was adherent to the sclera and was removed with the eye. Histologic diagnosis revealed a malignant Schwannoma, an extremely rare orbital tumor. The deformity in the scleral wall produced by this tumor was unique. We believe it should be considered a sign of malignancy and that the tumor infiltrates the scleral wall.
