From formation to form: still the "misplaced ideas"

One of the Brazilian cultural critique most attacked and less understood thesis is the one about the "misplaced ideas". The article defends, however, that in spite of what most critics believe, the thesis does not refer to a fact - the inadequacy of some ideas to certain social contexts - but to a process, that is completed with the establishment of forms. The concern with this process is present in different aspects of Brazilian life, such as literature, economy and politics. What explains it would be the desire to end the situation of subordination, typical of a colony, and create a more autonomous order, identified with the Nation. In the last years, however, it has become more common to consider that the process will not be completed.
