Percepção crítica sobre a desestatização do Vale do Anhangabaú a partir de 2021

ABSTRACT

This article is part of the master’s dissertation whose objective is to analyze the new urban space of Vale do Anhangabaú from the perspective of its current privatized management and its operation, from 2021. It is observed that several components of this process converge towards social tensions. To this end, it provides a survey of the contradictions present in the case of the site. The analysis helps to understand how public policies qualitatively impact free urban spaces. The article argues that these contracts should prioritize collective interests and be monitored by public authorities, preservation agencies and the society.
