ABSTRACT
Objetivo:
The article presents the trajectory and challenges of the formation of the Sistema de Museus do Distrito Federal, initially created in 1990 and re-established in 2012. It consists of a case study with the aim of understanding its organization, (dis)articulation and challenges for its continuity.
Methods:
The qualitative research methodology was based on a bibliographical review and documentary analysis carried out by consulting the archives of the Secretaria de Estado de Cultura e Economia Criativa do Distrito Federal and documentation from the Instituto do Patrimônio Histórico e Artístico Nacional, specifically documents from the Fundação Nacional Pró-Memória do Serviço of the Patrimônio Histórico e Artístico Nacional.
Results:
The aim was to understand the signs that contributed to the discontinuity and the current state of the Sistema de Museus do Distrito Federal.
Conclusions:
The work invetigates the Sistema de Museus do Distrito Federal in dialogue with the articulation in museum networks and systems, understanding museum policies in Brazil from the perspective of network governance and the challenges faced in its different phases.
