Guidelines for developing Information Literacy for people with cystic fibrosis

Abstract

The aim of this work is to present Guidelines for the development of Information Competence for people with Cystic Fibrosis. It consists of social research, with a qualitative approach and an epistemological perspective based on phenomenology. It is also characterized as a bibliographical, documentary, and exploratory study. The data was collected from the UFSC University Library, the Scielo Brasil portal, the Capes Portal, the Ebsco and Web Of Science databases and, in national Library and Information Science journals, the search terms were: "Information Literacy", "Cystic Fibrosis". Semi-structured interviews were conducted via the "Google Meet" platform with people with Cystic Fibrosis, over 18 years of age, living in the state of Santa Catarina. The Collective Subject Discourse tool was used to analyze the data. The results show the Guidelines for Developing Information Competence, which are organized into four components: Access; Evaluation; Use, and Communication of Information.
