This paper reports the experience of Supervised Internship in Teaching of Psychology, a subject of undergratuate program of Psychology degree at the Federal University of Santa Catarina, held in 2011, linking the issue of Psychology and Racial-Ethnic Relations. Although the teaching of Ethnic and Racial Relations and African and Afro-Brazilian History and Culture has become obligatory in all Brazilian schools of the country from the law 10.639/03, which modified the LDB due to a historic achievement of the black movement, the training of teachers in this context is still very precarious. In this sense, psychology has much to contribute to the process of teacher training by showing how the constitution of the subject is related to culture. In this way it can undermine prejudices and stereotypes about ethnic and racial relations, considering its historical relevance, social and cultural promotion of equity and social equality in our country.
