One Step Further!

Mais um passo!

When I took charge of the editing of "Revista Dor: Pesquisa Clínica e Terapêutica" in January 2009, I highlighted that the objectives to be pursued were not new, because the way Revista Dor was being managed since its foundation did not require that, at that moment, other objectives were looked for, except for those pursued in the last years, which were further participation of the community involved in the study, research and treatment of pain and the indexation of Revista Dor to make it better known and to provide readers with current articles with high scientific consistency.

One not confessed dream of the new editor was that Revista Dor could be translated into English and made electronically available with free access so that all interested in the study and therapy of pain could know the excellent scientific level of the work developed by Brazilian researchers, thus opening a universe of opportunities for our scientific thinking to be shared with researchers worldwide who access articles in our language.

As from this edition, Revista Dor starts to be electronically published in English and will continue to be regularly delivered every quarter to all SBED members, printed in Portuguese, in addition to being electronically available in Portuguese and English in the SBED portal.

So, Revista Dor gives one step further to become a powerful means of scientific communication, allowing professionals working with pain to have one more means to spread their research.

This is one more huge challenge which is being overcome and now we need your cooperation to obtain the SciElo seal with the increasing participation of submission of pain research and management studies.

Please continue to submit your scientific articles, especially original researches and well-elaborated reviews, because the responsibility of Revista Dor has substantially increased since from now on the number of readers shall increase, and the requirement for better-elaborated studies shall be a constant.
