AN ANALYSIS OF THE SCIENTIFIC PRODUCTION ON TECHNOSTRESS (2000-2020)

ABSTRACT

The aim of this research is to show the panorama of research on technostress field worldwide in the last 21 years using the Web of Science database. A bibliometric survey was conducted to identify fundamental aspects of the dissemination of academic publications, as well as evaluating and comparing the scientific production of the authors with higher publications versus the articles most cited in the period, among other indicators. 327articles were analyzed, published between the years 2000 and 20202 and an in-depth analysis in the 10 most cited publications was performed. The results shown that the number of publications grew from 2015 and Monideepa Tarafdar was the author with the highest number of publications and the USA was the country which most publications resulted. It was found that among the 10 most cited publications, 7 are from the authors that publish more in this topic, with one of the exceptions being the second most cited article in the database. Finally, it became evident that technostress is an emerging research field, with publications coming from a large number of researchers, institutions and journals around the world, but the number is still small in each of these categories.
