Materia Journal Interest Areas

Materia Journal Interest Areas

The Materia Journal has the intention to reorganize and to modernize its interest areas for its future editions, from Volume 18 on, with the objective to give to the articles published an approach directed to the present developments on materials science and engineering. However, the main conventional themes related to the use of materials in our society will continue to be treated.

Therefore, the journal's editorial board has the intention to subdivide the articles submitted and to direct publications to the following areas:

1. Materials for renewable energy sources;

2. Materials for non-renewable energy sources;

3. Materials and environment;

4. Materials for transportation;

5. Materials for civil construction;

6. Materials for sensors and detectors;

7. Materials for raw products and their processing;

8. Materials for anthropogenic use;

9. Materials for food and medicines;

10. Materials for art and patrimony;

11. Other materials applications;

12. Fundamental research on materials.

Contributions from the journal's authors and readers are very much welcomed to support the present modernization effort of its editorial approach. That is why we invite you to write to give us your opinion and suggestions. We thank you for your support.

Cordially,

Paulo Emílio V. de Miranda

Editor-in-Chief
