Abstract
This paper presents Statactivism. It is both a concept describing a set of statistical practices aiming at more emancipation and a slogan inviting social actors to use the force of quantification in their fights. Four types of statactivism are presented: exhibiting internal contradictions of powerful institutions, taking liberties with the rules of codification, identifying activist groups and proposing alternative indicators.
