Abstract:
This article aims to report the experience of the struggle to implement a Social Service Course at the Federal University of Tocantins (UFT) for peasants in agreement with the National Program for Education in Agrarian Reform (Pronera). As a methodology, research was carried out in reports and in the Literature of Social Service and field Education. We can observe that the implementation of this course occurred with harsh fiscal austerity and through oppression of social movements, which has pointed to the need for constant struggles to guarantee the completion of the course.
