The third number of our Magazine is full of articles that impact teaching, research and Nursing practice. The approach to Women was the explicit object of investigation of a significant number of texts: Consequences of the pre-menstrual tension syndrome in the life of women; Review of nursing literature on hypertension in pregnancy; Training in problem solving: intervention in women with depression; Reflections on caring for women who suffer marital violence from a Heideggerian point of view in the world of technique. The undergraduate students were also the subject of the researchers, with two articles approaching the students as targets of our investigations: Body Harmony Workshop: movement, reflection and appropriation of self; and Nursing: Idealism versus Realism.

From the point of view of nursing workers and health care providers there are 4 articles with veri different approaches: Ergonomic Aspects in the transfer of patients: a study carried out with workers in a transport center of a university hospital; The process of socialization of nurses in an intensive treatment center; The relief of pain in post-operative patients from the point of view of nurses in an intensive care unit; Home care for the aged: profile of the formal caregiver (part 1).

The readers can also find other research and texts for reflection in: Oral life history: seeking the meaning of hemodialysis for chronic renal patients; Iatrogenic occurrences in health care: difficulties inherent in the study of the theme; Organizational culture according to the perception of nursing service chiefs; and An overview of the sciences of nursing: the analytical watersheds of health care practices.

The Journal continues to believe in the importance of providing readers with different strategic and methodological wais of approaching the objects of investigation and intervention. It also values the various themes, bringing a wide range of themes that are meaningful to our nursing practice, moving towards the consolidation of the science of nursing. Therefore, I renew the invitation to the research group and researchers of nursing to value the journal bi sending their original work for publication.

To all, a veri good read!
